PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL

MINUTES

OCT 9, 2007

 

Attendance: Gary Schluep, Richard Lester, Frances Dettwiller, Chyane Collins, Katie Hays Paugh, Barb Hidy, Dale Hidy, Alanna Barberry, Kristy Bockrath, Gene Kropfelder, Kristy Bruckner, Kelly McMantis, Kadee Knowles, Eric Givens, Nancy Williams, Fr. Frank.  Guests: Mary Lou Schluep, Pat Hays, Pat Tolbert, Rosemary Kropfelder, Joseph Jones

 

ST.VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY

A report was given by Chyane Collins.  She stated the informal meeting on 8/12/07 was a success with about 40 people in attendance.  She gave an overview of how the St. Vincent de Paul Society serves a community. They are looking for places to store items.  Parish Council approved of the St. Vincent de Paul Society be apart of St. Benignus Church.

 

BUILDING AND GROUNDS

Barb Hidy reported that Mr. Bud Clouser has finished his work on the church.  The gutters on the church need to be fixed for $250.00.  We will need a bid to have some trees cut down at the cemetery

 

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Katie Paugh  reported 40 youth participated in the Religious Education classes on Sunday 10/7/07.  Teachers are still needed for 3^rd & 4^th grade every other weekend.

 

LADIES AUXILIARY

Kristy Bockrath reported we need cabinets in the kitchen of the Parish Center.

 

CHRISTIAN SERVICES

Oct. 14 was supposed to be the Oktoberfest.

 

WORSHIP

Kristy Bockrath reported the Choir wants to start having regular practices.

Lecturers , Distributors , and Servers need to sign up.

 

SOCIAL AND FELLOWSHIP

Kelly McMannis said the first order from Millers Wholesale was successful.

We need another coffee pot.  Millers may loan us one.

We need to come up with items for welcome baskets for new parishioners.

 

FINANCE

Eric Givens, and Nancy Williams reported we are doing well financially.
