BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

Barb H. reported that Durable Slate would give us an outline of problems and costs associated with this by Thursday the 21st.  A parishioner reported that things have been disappearing from the cemetery.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Katie reported that VBS would be held in July on a Saturday afternoon or evening.  This will also be done again in August.  The dates are yet to be determined and two different themes will be used.  It was also reported that a day for the teens of the parish will be planned such as a movie or swimming.

LADIES AUXILLIARY

The LAX recently had a fundraiser that raised $200.  A rummage sale is planned for August 4th.  There will be a booth at the Wheels of

Progress on July 20th-22nd.  LAX needs donations and workers for this event.

New officers have been elected for next year.

SOCIAL AND FELLOWSHIP

Kelly has suggested using Miller Foods of Washington Court House for all church supplies/food.  They will deliver to the church.  The council voted to initiate this service.  Kelly will facilitate.  Kelly may be resigning her post prior to the end of her term, as her family will be relocating.  The council thanks Kelly for all the hard work and dedication she has demonstrated during her tenure.

FINANCE

Eric reported that monies have been transferred from the cemetery fund to the checking account.  Collections have been down lately, but overall, expenditures are down slightly.

VERY IMPORTANT STUFF

Fr. Frank proposed starting a St. Vincent de Paul Society using the second collection of the month instead of collecting for the Greenfield Food Cupboard.  A board will be chosen to review all requests to SvdeP and the board will determine how the monies will be disseminated.  The church envelopes will be changed and other donations have been made to this cause.  The SvdeP will also routinely donate money to the Food Cupboard.  All council members were asked to think this over and plans for SvdeP will be finalized at the August meeting.  Council members were asked to think of ways to boost the October count this year.

OLD BUSINESS

Jim gave an update on the Parish Directory.  The first seven to ten pages will be pictures and information of the church and Fr. Frank.  Family picture pages will be 16 pictures per page with names included.  An alphabetical listing will be included in the back.  We will advertise the upcoming pictures through July and hold sign-ups August 4th and 5th and August 11th and 12th.  Pictures will be taken August 18th, 19th and 26th.  Directories will then be ready by October.

A discussion was held as to how to purchase plaques for the windows. Gary will figure and bring back to the August meeting.  Old windows will be auctioned off at the Oktoberfest.

NEW BUSINESS

New officers were elected.  Gary Schluep will be President with Jim Merkowitz taking over the position of Past President/Secretary.

The next meeting will be held August 14th.

Respectfully submitted,

Kristy Bruckner, Secretary
